According to information released by the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani army began large-scale military exercises on 16 May.
According to reports, Azerbaijan will send 15,000 troops, 300 armored vehicles and 50 military aircraft and drones to participate in the exercise, the exercise mainly covers the mobile deployment of armored artillery units, multi-military coordination of operations and counter-terrorism operations.
The exercise will last until May 20, local time.
The situation in the border area between Azerbaijan and Armenia has recently escalated, with both sides accusing each other of destabilizing the border area.
