In the northwestern state of Rajasthan, India, more than 420 birds have recently been reported to have died of bird flu. The state’s livestock department said that at present, bird flu has only been confirmed in the Jalava region, and death reports in other areas have not been published.

In addition, the avian influenza virus was detected in the bodies of about 50 crows in the Indore region of Madhya Pradesh.

Officials in Kerala said that about 1,500 ducks have recently died from bird flu on a farm in the state. In order to control the spread of the bird flu epidemic, about 40,000 birds have been ordered to be killed.
