Baghdad, November 9th The Iraqi military said on 9th that fighters from the extremist organization “Islamic State” attacked a post in the capital Baghdad late at night on the 8th, causing 4 deaths and 3 injuries.
The Iraqi Joint Operations Command issued a statement saying that four
“Islamic State” fighters attacked a Sunni militia post in the Radwaniya district of southwestern Baghdad, causing casualties.
According to local media reports, “Islamic State” fighters used light weapons to fire at the outpost and threw grenades.
The casualties included civilians.
In December 2017, the Iraqi government announced a historic victory against the “Islamic State”
but there are still remnants of extremists in Iraq waiting for an opportunity to launch attacks.
