MAY 5 2021 IRAQ’S INTERIOR MINISTRY SAID THE HASSAN BAY OIL FIELD IN NORTHERN IRAQ WAS HIT BY A BOMB ATTACK BY MILITANTS ON FRIDAY, WHICH SET OFF A FIRE THAT KILLED AT LEAST ONE POLICEMAN, THE UAE’S NATIONAL NEWSPAPER REPORTED.
The attack also injured three police officers, but the blast did not affect production, Reuters reported earlier. A spokesman for Iraq’s oil ministry said firefighters were trying to put out the fire, which has been extinguished by an oil well.
