January 11th local time, according to the latest report of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 10 states in the United States have found variant COVID-19 infection.
So far, at least 72 people across the United States have been infected with variant COVID-19.
Of the U.S. patients known to have variant COVID-19, 32 are from California; 22 are from Florida; 5 are from Minnesota; 4 are from New York; 3 are from Colorado; and 2 are from Connecticut.
Texas, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Georgia each reported contracting variant COVID-19.
Experts say the above data do not represent the real number of people infected with variant COVID-19 in the United States, and more variant COVID-19 infections are expected in the United States in the coming weeks.
