The two sides quarreled and turned into a physical conflict. One of the women stabbed the man with a knife more than 20 times. Police said the man was stabbed in his back, neck and arms.
The man was sent to a doctor for treatment in a critical condition. Two women were also admitted to hospital for minor injuries.
According to reports, two women were charged with attempted murder. On the 27th, Cook County, where the city of Chicago is located, opened a court session to hear the case.
The judge said that although the attack may not have been premeditated, the “absolute number” of stab wounds is “worrying”. The next court hearing for the two will be held in November.
