An 82-year-old man in the UK was vaccinated against the country’s first dose of AstraZeneca vaccine.

Brian Pink, an 82-year-old dialysis patient, has completed the first dose of Oxford-AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine, according to the British National Health Service (NHS) on January 4.

Pinker said he was excited to get the COVID-19 vaccine on Monday and that “now really can look forward to celebrating the 48th anniversary with my wife Shirley later.”

According to Reuters, six hospitals in England will immediately start a vaccination program of 530,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine.

AstraZeneca vaccines will be gradually administered to residents at hundreds of other locations in the UK over the next few days, and the government hopes to provide tens of millions of doses of vaccines in a few months.
