The impact of winter storms on Texas in the United States continues. For the mother of an 11-year-old boy in Texas, the storm and power outage may have brought her a wound that was difficult to heal for a lifetime, during which she lost her son.
Christian Pavon, 11, was born in Honduras, and came to Texas to reunite with his mother in 2019. On the 15th local time, the winter storm brought snow to the Conroe area of Texas.
Christian Pavon was very excited. His mother recorded his son’s snow playing with her mobile phone.
But no one expected that Christian Pavon left forever the next afternoon.
Christian Paon’s family: It’s really heartbreaking to see this video. He was fine the day before.
Christian Paion’s family said that the boy was in good health before and did not say he had any discomfort before the incident.
But their mobile home was cold due to sudden drop in temperatures and power outages.
In the early morning of the child’s death, his stepfather had checked Christian Pavon and his three-year-old brother and added a blanket to them.
Unexpectedly, when he went to wake up the sleeping child in in the afternoon, he had no response.
Christian Paion’s family believes that cold weather is the culprit.
The local government is currently investigating whether Christian Pavon died of hypothermia.
