Nov. 21 – A man in Arizona was convicted on November 18 local time. He twice threatened to kill Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Pelosi on the phone.
According to the New York Daily News on the 20th, the U.S. Department of Justice pointed out in a press release that the 77-year-old man named Steven Mattis lives in Burhead. On January 17 this year, the 11th day after the riots in the U.S. Congress, he called Pelosi twice and threatened to kill her.
The FBI said that Mattis said “I’m going to kill you” on the first phone call that day, and later called “You’re dead”. Mattis has been in prison since February. He will be sentenced on January 25, 2022 for interstate homicide or threat of injury, with a maximum sentence of five years.
