April 10 – Earlier this year, Camlin Gardner, a seven-year-old American girl, wrote a letter to a jeans company asking the company to consider adding front pockets to the girl’s jeans. She received a warm reply from the company in early April.
According to the New York Post on the 9th, Gardner is from Arkansas, USA, and is in the first grade of primary school. In a letter to a jeans company, she said: “I don’t like that the front pocket of girls’ jeans is fake. I want real front pockets because I want to put my hands in and put something in it.”
The company later wrote back, “The Children’s Products team appreciates the information, which is good feedback for us to develop new products.” Company spokesman Sandy Goldberg said in an interview that the company does currently offer several jeans styles with pockets, including straight trousers, tights and so on. Gardner’s elementary school also praised her letter on social platforms, saying “Well done, Gardner!”
