A spokesman for Germany’s Federal Constitutional Court announced on May 3rd that it had so far received 264 applications for “emergency brake” measures against the German federal government, including lawyers and libertavers, independents and some LDP members.
Amendments to the Infectious Diseases Prevention and Control Act were officially implemented on April 24 this year, with the aim of implementing a unified national “emergency brake” epidemic prevention measures to control Coronavirus pandemic.
It is reported that some of the lawsuits are against some of the provisions of the amendments to the Infectious Diseases Prevention and Control Act, while others are against the amendments as a whole.
The amendment’s provision that a curfew must be imposed between 22 and 5 a.m. in areas with a 7-day incidence of more than 100 per 100,000 people was the focus of the prosecution, but media reports said the German Federal Constitutional Court had not specified whether the cases would be heard directly.
