Amazon German warehouse workers will strike again

On Sunday, the union Verdi called on workers at the Amazon warehouse in Germany to go on a second strike in a week to disrupt the order processing after the “Black Friday” discount sale on November 27.

Verdi said the strike was scheduled to begin Monday night shift and end Tuesday night shift, with more than 500 workers participating after the three-day strike last Thursday to Saturday.

Since 2013, Verdi has been organizing a strike at Amazon, Germany, which is the largest market after the United States, and together with other unions, hopes to force the e-commerce company to recognize collective bargaining agreements applicable to retail employees of other companies.
