According to the report, the Japanese government said that the content of tritium, the radioactive material in the treated nuclear sewage, is only one-seventh of the World Health Organization drinking water standard.
At the same time, the Japanese government called on local governments and aquaculture operators to strengthen the monitoring of the concentration of radioactive substances in nuclear sewage at the time of discharge, promising to continue to vigorously assist in the revitalization of local fisheries and tourism, and pointed out that if the brand image of local products is damaged by nuclear sewage discharge, it will be borne by Tokyo Electric Power Company.
