All 10 herders and more than 6,400 livestock missing in Mongolia’s snowstorm have been rescued

On the morning of April 16, local time, the Governor’s Office of Sukhbaatar Province of Mongolia announced that 10 herders and more than 6,400 livestock from Sukhbaatar Province, who disappeared in the snowstorm on the 15th, had all been rescued.

On the 15th, Mongolia’s Sukhbaatar province of Ongen and Naren two counties were hit by a snowstorm. Ten herders and more than 6,400 livestock were missing during the storm.

Upon receiving the request for help, the Mongolian Border Force instructed the soldiers to carry out search and rescue work immediately. Eighty-hour later, all the missing herders and livestock were rescued, saving herders 2 billion tugriks in economic losses.
