The Presidential Palace of Algeria issued a statement on the 15th that Algerian President Teben has completed treatment for his infection with Coronavirus in Germany.
The statement said that Teben completed the treatment procedure for his infection with Coronavirus in a German hospital. He is currently in normal health and is undergoing relevant medical examinations.
Due to contact with suspected cases of Coronavirus, Teben announced on October 24 that he would conduct a five-day self-isolation. On October 27, Teben went to a military hospital in Algiers for special care under the advice of a doctor.
On October 28, he went to Germany for a comprehensive medical examination. On November 3, the Presidential Palace of Algeria issued a statement saying that Teben tested positive for Coronavirus.
Teben was born in November 1945 and served as prime minister, minister, and governor of Algeria. He became president in December 2019.
