January 11th local time, Chad Wolff, Acting Secretary of Homeland Security of the United States, resigned.
It is reported that since Transport Secretary Xiaolan Zhao and Secretary of Education Betty DeVos, Wolfe became the third cabinet member to resign after the U.S. Congress protested after the conflict.
In an email to colleagues, Wolfe wrote: “I am sad about this move.
I intended to serve the Department of Homeland Security until the end of this government.
But unfortunately, recent events have forced me to stop. These events increasingly distract attention and national resources from what really matters in the United States at a critical moment of the transfer of power.”
Therefore, Wolf made a decision to resign.
