The Dutch government first announced on Saturday that it would suspend flights with the United Kingdom until January 1. After that, Belgium announced the closure of its border with Britain for at least 24 hours.
As a result, British railway traffic with Brussels, London and Amsterdam was also interrupted. Italy, Germany, Bulgaria, Ireland, Lithuania, Latvia, Finland stopped flights with the United Kingdom. France suspended all traffic with the United Kingdom for 48 hours.
Sweden prohibits its nationals from going to the UK. Greece imposes a seven-day quarantine on inbound British nationals, Cyprus imposes a two-week quarantine, and Spain strengthens control over inbound British nationals.
In addition to the EU countries, Turkey, Switzerland, Canada and Argentina have suspended flights with the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia completely closed its borders for a week and cancelled all international flights.
