According to the latest report of the American Academy of Pediatrics, as of January 14, about 2.5 million children in the United States had been diagnosed with COVID-19, and 182,000 children were hospitalized due to the novel coronavirus, of which 191 children died.

The report said that last week (11th) alone, 211,466 children in the United States tested positive for the novel coronavirus, which is up 18% from two weeks ago.

The number of COVID-19 cases among children in the United States is currently 12.6% of the total number of cases.

The report also noted that children in North Dakota, Tennessee, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Wyoming have the highest chances of being positive for COVID-19, while in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Delaware are also seeing significant increases in the likelihood of positive children.
