According to CNN on the 4th, Rosa Cherner, a resident of California, lost her father and uncle in the COVID-19 pandemic. She criticized the White House for claiming that the number of the U.S. pandemic was “seriously exaggerated” as an “insult”.
She said that if more Americans could take the pandemic seriously, the death of her father and uncle might have been avoided.
Cherner said her uncle came to visit her father in early July last year when his uncle had some symptoms but did not know that he had COVID-19. Subsequently, the uncle and father were diagnosed with the infection and died as a result.
Cherner said that what everyone has done during the pandemic will affect not only themselves, but also others. She called on people to pay attention to the pandemic and take good precautions.
