At about 19:00 local time on April 5, a violent explosion occurred at the Jiaomai toll station on the Myanmar Mujie-Mandler road, injuring three people, one of whom was seriously injured.
At present, the injured have been sent to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The explosion caused damage to 15 passing vehicles to varying degrees, one of which caught fire. The roof, doors and windows of the toll booth were seriously damaged, and the scene was littered with glass fragments caused by explosions.
While the toll station exploded, gunfire also came out to the west of Jiaomai Town Police Station. At present, no armed group has expressed responsibility for the explosion.
It is reported that the Mujie-Mandler Highway is an important trade channel in Myanmar. At present, the explosion has not affected the traffic of this highway for the time being.
