Tunisian civil defense department said on the 24th that a ship carrying stowaways sank in the southeastern waters of Tunisia.
The bodies of 13 stowaways have been found in the waters on the 24th, and 5 survivors have been rescued by rescuers in the relevant sea area.
The rescued survivors said that there were more than 40 stowaways on board, and the sunken ship was originally preparing to go to the Italian island of Lampedusa.
