Mexico City, April 6 Prosecutors in Sonora, northwest Mexico, issued an announcement on the 6th that a collision between two cars occurred in Kavolca, that day, killing 16 people and injuring 14.
The announcement said that in the early morning of the same day, a bus carrying miners drove on a highway in Kavolka. While passing a section near a mine, it hit a moving bus, killing 16 people in the bus on the spot and injuring 14 people in the bus. The injured have been taken to the hospital for treatment.
Local media reported that the two cars collided head-on at the time of the accident, and the frontal of the vehicle was nearly damaged. At present, the relevant departments have not announced the specific cause of the accident.
