According to reports by many Mongolian media on the afternoon of December 8th local time, the Mongolian National Palace has implemented a temporary foot ban since 15:40 on the same day because a staff member tested positive for COVID-19 quickly.
It is reported that on the afternoon of the same day, a staff member working on the second floor of the east wing of the National Palace tested positive for COVID-19 quickly and was initially diagnosed as a suspected case. Therefore, a temporary foot ban was imposed on the National Palace to prohibit people from entering and leaving. At present, the suspected case sample has been sent to the National Center for Infectious Diseases, and further PCR testing is under way.
It is also reported that the temporary foot ban in the National Palace of Mongolia will continue until the official test results of the above-mentioned suspected cases are announced. The National Palace of Mongolia is the seat of the president, government and parliament of the country.
