According to media reports in Galicia, Spain on the evening of February 14, local time, 54 crew members of a fishing boat sailing from Vigo City in the region were quarantined in the port of Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay, 28 of whom have been infected with COVID-19.

It is reported that only two of them have mild symptoms, and the rest of the infection cases are asymptomatic.

The fishing boat was scheduled to sail from Spain to the waters of the Malvinas Islands, moored at the port of Vigo in November and December 2020, and left the Canary Islands across the Atlantic Ocean from January 28, to Stanley Harbor in the Malvinas Islands.

On February 11th, local time, when the fishing boat stopped in Montevideo for supplies, local medical staff detected that the crew had been diagnosed with COVID-19, and all the crew members were quarantined and were not allowed to enter and leave the ship.
