Belarus’ state news agency reported on the 23rd, after the emergency landing of the Belarusian capital Minsk airport, the European low-cost airline Ryanair Boeing 737-800 aircraft has taken off from Minsk airport at 20:48 local time, bound for the Lithuanian capital Vilnius.
Belarus’ state news agency reported on May 23rd that a Boeing 737 flying from Athens, Greece, to Vilnius, Lithuania, made an emergency landing at Minsk airport in the Belarusian capital.
The News Agency quoted the head of Belarus’ ministry of emergency situations as saying that Minsk airport received a message that there may have been explosive devices on the flight. The flight then made an emergency landing at Minsk airport for security checks.
It is reported that there are 123 passengers on the flight. After landing, the passengers were taken to the Minsk airport transit area for inspection, and the luggage of the flight was screened. Security personnel did not find the explosive device and the plane is still waiting to take off at Minsk airport, the White News Agency reported.
A Belarusian MiG-29 fighter jet escorted a Ryanair plane to Minsk airport, the White News Agency reported.
