On October 24, a passenger car overturned in the Kagera region of Tanzania, causing 15 deaths and 18 injuries at the scene.
The accident happened at 10 o’clock local time. The bus departed from Ngara to Bukoba, and the brakes failed on the way downhill through the Kamuniangai Mountains. The injured have been taken to Ngara’s hospital for treatment.
Tanzanian President Magufuli expressed his condolences to the victims of the accident that afternoon and reminded all drivers to obey the road regulations to avoid car accidents.
