December 13, an incident occurred at Blair Drummond Safari Park in Stirling, England.
A rare Barbary monkey escaped from the monkey area and strayed into the lion fence and was bitten to death by the lion herd.
Tourists caught pictures of the lioness running with the monkey in her mouth.
The monkey’s body was later found by the staff, and the incident has been investigated.
A spokesman for Blair Drummond Wildlife Park said: “This is something that has never happened before, and we are shocked and worried about it.”
