February 25th, the Singapore Metro Company announced on a social networking website that at about 9:40 that night, a man broke into the train track and was killed, affecting the subway service.
The company is assisting the police in the investigation.
In an inquiry from the media, the Singapore Civil Defense Force said that it received an alarm call indicating that assistance was needed at the scene of the accident.
After the medical staff arrived, one person died.
The accident caused the interruption of two-way train services between some stations on the East-West Line.
The accident is the first subway track death in Singapore since 2016.
It is not clear how the man got into the orbit.
