Police in Votoga County, North Carolina, ended a 13-hour standoff with the gunman at 11 p.m. local time on April 28, according to U.S. media reports. The shooting left five people dead, including two police officers, the suspect, his mother and stepfather, and one officer was shot and life-threatening.
Vottoga County Sheriff’s Office statement, 28 police received a call to the police said that a homeowner and family members out of contact with the outside world, and then the police arrived at the scene, the suspect shot from inside the house and formed a confrontation with the police. Police have not yet released the identity of the suspect, the investigation is still ongoing.
