January 4th local time, a baby boy born 18 days in Loire Province in central and eastern France has been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus.

The baby boy’s diagnosis of infection was revealed to the media by his parents. His family said that the child was born on December 10, 2020 and was rushed to the hospital for treatment on December 28.

Since there is no precedent for children infected with COVID-19, it took a complicated diagnosis before the final diagnosis was made.

Fortunately, except for a fever, the baby did not show respiratory symptoms and was discharged from the hospital on December 31st. He is currently undergoing follow-up treatment at home.

He and his wife have been infected with the coronavirus, and symptoms like severe fever, fatigue and cough, after another, despite taking strict precautions, according to the baby’s father.

To prevent the infection of the baby, parents of the baby began to wear masks at home, but still failed to stop the infection.

The father of the baby said that the reason why he wanted to make the experience public to the media was that he did not want the same thing to happen in other families.

According to him, the three-year-old sister who was diagnosed with the baby had also been ill before, but she had not been tested. He said that young children are also at risk of infection, so parents should also take precautions.

Under current French government advice, children under 6 years of age are at very little risk of contracting COVID-19.
