A fire broke out in a hospital in the Zelendorf district of Berlin, Germany, in the early morning of the 2nd local time, killing one person and injuring five others, three of whom were seriously injured.
A spokesman for the Berlin Fire Department said on social media on the 2nd that the fire broke out from the ward on the third floor of the hospital. The fire station received a fire alarm at 4 o’clock local time, dispatched nearly 100 firefighters, and put out the open flame at 7 o’clock. Inpatients in the fire building have been evacuated to safe areas.
The spokesman said that the cause of the fire has not been identified.
