April 15 2021 A curfew will be imposed this weekend in the Indian capital Delhi due to a surge in new cases of pneumonia and a serious outbreak, India Today reported Thursday.

According to reports, India’s chief minister in Delhi said at a press conference on the 15th, the curfew from 10 p.m. on the 16th, will continue until 6 a.m. on the 19th.

During the curfew, all markets, shopping centers, gymnasiums and other venues will be closed, staff will have to work from home, and only infrastructure services and interstate transportation will continue as usual.

Delhi government sources say the curfew will be extended if the number of new cases remains high in the coming days.
