APRIL 28 2021 A TRAGEDY HAS OCCURRED IN MAHARASHTRA, INDIA’S WORST-AFFECTED STATE, INDIAN MEDIA REPORTED THURSDAY.
A female criminal infected with Coronavirus fell to her death while trying to escape from the upper floors of the eighth floor of the hospital.
Police said the woman had previously been arrested for inciting suicide.
The incident took place in pune, Maharashtra state, according to India Today.
The woman, named as Dipty Kyle, was transferred from prison to a local government-run hospital on April 25 for infection with Coronavirus.
Police said she was trying to escape through the window of the hospital toilet. The investigation revealed that Kyle removed the toilet glass and ran out of the hospital window, but accidentally fell from the eighth floor, fell into the pipe area of the hospital building and died.
Kyle was reportedly arrested for his role in a 2020 suicide attempt.
She and her accomplice repeatedly harassed and threatened a jeweler to get their money back, and eventually the jeweler was overwhelmed and killed himself with a gun in his shop.
Kyle was arrested for inciting suicide and has been in prison ever since.
