Niger’s health sector is calling on the public to comply with health and epidemic prevention regulations, report suspected symptoms in a timely manner, wash their hands frequently, pay attention to drinking water hygiene.
There has been a cholera outbreak in Niger in 2018, with more than 3,000 confirmed cases, including more than 60 deaths.
Cholera is an acute intestinal infection caused by Vibrio cholerae, mainly through unclean water and food, and is often characterized by vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration and high fever, which can lead to death due to severe illness and delayed treatment.
