SYDNEY – April 18 No one was seriously injured Friday night when a car in Sydney’s Sutherland County, Australia, allegedly ran out of control and crashed into a Chinese restaurant.
According to eyewitness accounts, about 30 customers, including a group of elderly people, ate at a Chinese restaurant on the evening of the 16th, australian news website 9NEWS reported.
At about 7:30 p.m., a car crashed through the glass door of a Chinese restaurant and burst into the store, where customers then hurried out.
Reported that the driver is an elderly woman, after the incident was taken to hospital, no one was seriously injured. Police are now involved in the investigation, but have not given any details.
Eyewitnesses believe the cause of the incident may have been the driver mislaking the accelerator, and the female driver involved and the restaurant’s customers were “very shocked” by the incident.
Footage from the scene showed the incident causing a mess at the entrance to the Chinese restaurant, with glass doors smashed to the ground.
