According to CNN on the 4th, Riverside police received reports that a woman was stabbed on Golden Avenue in the city’s mountain community, and the suspect fled the scene. According to the police, the woman’s name is Ke Chieh Meng. She is 64 years old. She bleed after being stabbed in the abdomen. She was rushed to the local hospital and died.
Shortly after the attack, the police received reports from several neighbors that a woman’s behavior was very suspicious. Police immediately arrested her, a 23-year-old Darlene Stephanie Montoya from Los Angeles County.
Riverside police said: “When taking a transcript of the suspect, there is no indication that she attacked the victim because of race.” Montoya, who had been in detention multiple times, was arrested last week by Riverside police for assaulting a woman with a skateboard, but was released due to emergency bail provisions during the pandemic.
