November 26th – Pope Francis of the Vatican said on the 25th that he would remember Maradona and his football legend and pray for him. The Pope also called Maradona a “football poet”.
“When the pope hears the news of Maradona’s death, he recalls the day he met Maradona emotionally and he will pray for him as he will remember him as usual,” said Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni.

It is reported that Pope Francis, like Maradona, was born in Argentina and was the first non-European pope.
Previously, according to several Argentine media reports, legendary star Diego Maradona died of a sudden heart attack at home on the 25th at the age of 60.
