Iranian state television reported on the 25th that Iran released Carrie Moore-Gilbert, an Australian scholar serving his sentence in Iran for espionage, in exchange for three Iranians. The report did not mention the personal information of the three Iranian citizens and other information.
The released Australian scholar Gilbert, who holds dual British and Australian citizenship, is a university professor. At the age of 31, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison by the Iranian government on suspicion of “espionage”.
