The gate of the German Chancellery was hit by a car. Police arrested a man
November 25th – According to foreign media, on the 25th local time, a car with slogans on both sides crashed into the gate of the German Chancellery. German police said that they had arrested a 48-year-old man involved.
A police spokesman reportedly told AFP: “The car is parked at the door. We are investigating whether he deliberately drove the car there. The spokesman also said that it was not clear whether the incident caused any damage.
According to German media reports, in 2014, a car also tried to enter the German Chancellor’s Office, which seemed to be to protest against global warming.
Separately, the police checked the car at the door, with the right side of the car saying “Stop Global Politics” and the other side saying “You damn children and old killers”.
There are no casualties, and it is not clear whether German Chancellor Merkel was in the office building at that time. Dozens of policemen and a fire truck arrived at the scene of the accident.
Merkel’s office did not immediately comment on the matter.
