Phnom Penh, November 23 (Reporter Ouyang Kaiyu) Li Xiaofeng, Vice President of the Guangdong Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia and Chairman of the Cambodian Civil Explosives Factory, recently donated 20 tons of rice to the Royal Cambodian Guard. Commander Xing Wenxian of the Royal Cambodian Guard praised the actions of Guangdong businessmen in Cambodia to rescue the poor.
Heavy rainfall in October covered most of Cambodia, and most provinces and municipalities in Cambodia were hit by floods. Due to the continuous heavy rainfall, the flood disaster has caused heavy losses. In the face of the continuous flood, people from all walks of life in Cambodia have donated money to the disaster. Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen thanked the enthusiastic people for their donations and said that the people of the whole country should unite, actively give full play to the spirit of mutual assistance in hardships, and tide over the difficulties together.
Li Xiaofeng said that 2020 is a special year. Cambodia has experienced the test of the COVID-19 epidemic and the early flood. On the one hand, the Cambodian government actively fights the epidemic and stabilizes the disaster, and on the other hand, it strives to keep the loss to a minimum. The Cambodian army has also paid a lot to this. Thank them for their efforts to protect their homes and successfully maintain public order.
Li Xiaofeng, who has been in Cambodia for 16 years, said that although he is not from Cambodian, he has regarded Cambodia as his “second hometown” for many years of life and work in Cambodia, hoping to help the Cambodian people do something in his best.
