Thailand intends to extend the implementation period of the State of Emergency Law again until January 2021
November 19, according to comprehensive foreign media reports, the implementation period of Thailand’s emergency law due to coronavirus pandemic was originally scheduled to end at the end of November 2020.
However, due to the continued spread of the pandemic, the Thai government intends to extend the implementation period again to January 15, 2021.
According to reports, coronavirus pandemic Management Center chaired by Thai Prime Minister Prayut passed the resolution to help the government implement compulsory isolation and other pandemic prevention measures to curb the spread of the pandemic.
The Thai cabinet will make the final decision at the next meeting. If the resolution is approved, this will be the eighth extension of the implementation period since Thailand began implementing the emergency law in March.
According to Thailand’s “Bangkok Post” report, on November 18 local time, the Thai authorities reported 8 new confirmed cases of coronavirus, all imported from abroad. At present, Thailand has a total of 3888 confirmed cases and 60 deaths.
