The Zambian government approves the national nuclear policy and implementation plan
According to local media in Zambia, Zambia’s Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Dora Silla
said in a statement recently that the Zambian government has actually approved the national nuclear policy
and its implementation plan in many resolutions.
The policy aims to strengthen Zambia’s legal, institutional and operational framework for nuclear technology.
Minister Celia said that although Zambia has been applying nuclear technology to promote development since it became a member of
International Atomic Energy Agency in 1969, Zambia has not formulated relevant policies to guide the use of nuclear technology
