December 27 – According to Yonhap News Agency, the National Intelligence Agency (hereinafter referred to as the National Intelligence Agency) released information on the 27th that the “circulation channel” of fake U.S.S. banknotes worth $50 directly opposite the National Intelligence Institute was investigating.
The Korean CIA said that although no counterfeit $50 denomination note had been found in China, it was already circulating in Asia, so it released the relevant information in advance to prevent trouble. According to the National Intelligence Institute, the pattern, printing form and special ink used in the counterfeit banknote are almost the same as the real banknote. However, if you carefully observe counterfeit banknotes with a magnifying glass, you can find that compared with real banknotes, the text printed around the character is blurred, and the face value digital color at the lower right is slightly different from that of real banknotes according to the perspective.
The South Korean Court believes that institutions have hit counterfeit notes worth $50 less vigorously than counterfeit notes of $100, and their manufacturing is more profitable, which may be the main reason why some people make counterfeit notes of $50.
The Korean National Intelligence Agency plans to convey videos introducing the above content to relevant institutions such as the Bank of Korea (Central Bank) and the Customs Department (Customs).
