According to local police, in the afternoon, a natural gas pipeline in the Bang Bo area in the eastern suburbs of Bangkok suddenly exploded and caused a fire. One person was killed in the explosion and many others were injured.
The injured were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, two of them died. Dozens of houses and more than 20 cars near the accident site were damaged, and the fire was extinguished more than an hour later.
The police said that the explosion may have been caused by an excavator near the natural gas pipeline without permission.
