9 car crashes on a highway in Japan, injuring 5 people

According to the Japan Broadcasting Association, at about 6 p.m. local time on the 15th, a traffic accident involving 9 cars, including trucks and cars, occurred on the central highway in Ōtsuki, Yamanashi, Japan.

According to the police, 5 people were injured in the accident. All of them were conscious and life-threatening. They have been sent to the hospital for treatment.
