Health Canada held a press conference on the morning of November 19, local time, announcing that it had approved the vaccination of children between the ages of 5 and 11 with Pfizer to prevent novel coronavirus infection.
According to a press release released by Health Canada on its official website earlier that day, this is the first coronavirus vaccine approved by Canada for this age group.
It is understood that the pfizer vaccine dose for children in this age group is one-third of the dose for people aged 12 and above. Two doses are also needed, and the interval between the two doses is 3 weeks.
