DAMASCUS, Aug. 17 2021 The southern Syrian province of Quneitra was hit by An Israeli missile on the same day, the Syrian News Agency reported Wednesday. No casualties were reported, according to reports.
The Syrian news agency said the attack targeted parts of Quneitra province near the town of Hader in northern Quneitra province, the report did not give further details of the location of the attack. Syrian media “Sham FM” reported that there were no casualties after the attack.
Pro-Syrian government Lebanon Square TV reported that Israeli missiles had struck an extremely sensitive area near the Golan Heights.
According to the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, there were attacks and explosions from pro-Iranian militants stationed there.
Since the outbreak of the Syrian civil war, Israeli forces have repeatedly carried out air strikes against targets in Syria on the grounds of striking Iranian military installations. Both the Syrian and Iranian governments deny that Iran has a presence in Syria.
