On August 15, local time, Chicago police in an interview with the media issued a statement, 13 pm to 15 pm, a number of shootings in Chicago, a total of 5 people were killed and at least 47 injured. Police said the youngest victim was a seven-year-old girl.
Chicago police say an unidentified suspect opened fire on a parked car on the northwest side of the Belmont Central District at about 14:50 on August 15, shooting a 6-year-old girl in the chest and under the right armpit, and a 7-year-old girl in the chest and torso before being taken to Loyola University Medical Center. Police did not disclose more information about the two girls or the investigation into the shooting.
