May 19 2021 Hundreds of people gathered outside the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday to protest Israel’s recent air strikes against the Palestinians, the Associated Press reported.
Demonstrators chanted “Freedom! freely! Palestine! “and condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. At the protest site, a photographer and rally speaker mourned Palestinian children killed in the air strike.
Gaza’s Ministry of Health said Wednesday that at least 212 Palestinians, including 61 children, were killed in Israeli air strikes and 16 in the West Bank.
Similar protests have broken out in several U.S. cities in recent days, including New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Dallas, New Orleans and Sacramento, California, the report said.
