Chandrashekhar Rao, Chief Minister of the southern Indian state of Trengana, announced on the afternoon of 11 May local time that the Government had decided to impose a statewide blockade from 12 to 22 May in view of the current growth in the number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the state.
During the blockade, only the public is allowed to go out every day from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. for activities related to the necessary productive life.
Earlier, a two-week curfew had been imposed in Trenganna.
Data show that as of the early morning of May 11, there were 4,826 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Trengana, with a cumulative total of more than 500,000 confirmed cases.
